Explore the breathtaking temperate rainforest of the Oregon coast and see the sweeping vistas of this Pacific Northwest gem on a guided van tour, including forest walks, wildlife viewing, invigorating beach strolls through pristine state parks and a delicious lunch stop in the charming coastal town of Cannon Beach!

This unique 8-9 hour adventure provides a comprehensive exploration of Oregon’s many coastal charms. Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife such as gray whales, sea lions, huge herds of Roosevelt elk, bald eagles, and more as you visit several beaches, state parks, the town of Cannon beach and other attractions. Capture stunning landscape photos, relax on breathtaking pristine beaches, learn the history behind the landscape, indulge in the coastal culinary delights and meet the interesting local residents who call this magical coastline home. (Contact your tour provider directly for PRIVATE TOUR options!)

Your knowledgeable and friendly guide will season each site with fascinating historical, cultural, and geological background information along with numerous "fun facts" highlighting the unique native flora and fauna. Visit the breathtaking viewpoints that inspired the famous explorers, Lewis and Clark, when they arrived here in 1805 and walk in their very same footsteps on a cliffside stroll back through time! A stop at enchanting Ecola State Park affords an opportunity to see some of the majestic 1,477 basalt lava rock sea-stack islands that dot the Oregon coast as well as many species of wildlife living within our wildly exotic coastal temperate rainforest!

Next, you’ll explore the charming seaside town of Cannon Beach and revel in the majesty of Haystack Rock adorned with sometimes thousands of native seabirds such as: cormorants, terns, murres, bald eagles and the beloved and comical looking tufted puffin! Stretch your legs as you wander the streets, stop into quaint boutiques, eat a spectacular seafood lunch if you choose (all types of food available in town) and peruse the abundant art galleries. Cannon beach boasts the honor of being voted one of the 100 most beautiful places on the planet by National Geographic magazine!

For movie fans, this tour includes a cruise along a stretch of road used in the 80s classic, “The Goonies”, and a stop along the sprawling beach and tide pools (at low tide) in front of the world-famous Haystack Rock! Sit back, relax, and indulge in the jaw-dropping beach views and unique stops along the way as your guide custom crafts each tour for the best possible experience. Other areas of interest we may visit depending on time, weather, duration of stay at each stop and group mobility are: Hug Point State Recreation Site, Oswald West State Park, Neahkahnie Mountain overlook and other magical secret spots your guide will share with you.
