Description

Enjoy a day of ice fishing on Lake Inari on a tour from Saariselkä. Ride in a snowmobile sleigh to a nearby island, learn how to ice fish from a local guide, and enjoy an open fire cooking experience.
Our meeting point is Holiday Club Saariselkä, or we can pick you up from your hotel or other location. We will drive to Lake Inari, Veskoniemi, in a Multivan hybrid. From there, we continue with a short snowmobile ride to a nearby island. You will travel comfortably in a sleigh, or if you prefer some exercise, you can walk along the sledge track.

A local, experienced guide will provide instructions for ice fishing. You will receive your own fishing rod and can start fishing in true Lappish style, using either a worm or a maggot to catch the fish.

After fishing, we will fry sausages and enjoy warm juice and coffee by the fire. This is a great experience, even if you don’t catch any fish!
