Explore the world’s only global musical instrument museum, with exhibits featuring musical heritage, ceremonies, and cultures from over 200 countries and regions. MIM is unique in that it brings together in one place an expansive collection of 4300 instruments and all genres of music and performers.
You can see, hear, and experience musical traditions from every corner of the globe with a focus on major world regions: Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania, Latin America, Europe, and United States / Canada. Many of the instruments displayed are rare examples, the finest of their kind, historically significant, or part of distinctive musical cultures.
You will also be able to watch videos and listen to music performed on the instruments on the display in their original context through the easy to use guidePORT system. You will walk away understanding the powerful connections we share through music and will even have an opportunity to play some instruments in the Experience Gallery.

Food and beverages, including water, are not permitted outside of Café Allegro. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the museum.
Backpacks, purses, and bags larger than 18 inches by 18 inches; non-stroller baby carriers; umbrellas; tripods; selfie sticks; and other similar items must be checked at Guest Service.
Baby wearing is permitted only via slings or carriers worn on the front of the body.
The parking lot entrance is located on Mayo Blvd., just south of Loop 101 and is complimentary
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
