Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long - Can Tho (Meals: L)

After an early morning pick-up from your hotel, drive to Cai Be, the second largest floating market in the lower Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, cruise through the Cai Be floating market before taking a short walk to discover rural life.

Visit local workshops of people making coconut candy, rice paper, and snake wine. Take a rowing sampan through the small canals to visit an ancient house on An Binh Island. After lunch in a bonsai garden, continue by boat to Vinh Long, then drive to Can Tho and check into your 3-star accommodation for the night.

Day 2: Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (Meals: B, L)

In the morning, board a motor boat and ride along the Mekong River toward the Cai Rang floating market; the largest of the Mekong. Visit the traditional Vietnamese flea market that sells rats, snakes, and frogs. After the flea market, make a stop at the Ba Cong fruit orchard. Then you will take a car back to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping along the way for lunch. At around 17:00, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
