Description

Ride the Bailong Elevator to the Avatar Mountains, walk the world‘s highest glass bridge, and stand beneath Heaven’s Gate. Get your own Chinese name in Dayong Ancient City. All tickets pre-arranged.
Meet your guide at your hotel. Transfer to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — the sandstone wonderland that inspired Avatar.

Ride the Bailong Elevator (Guinness World Record holder for tallest outdoor lift) up 326 meters in just 88 seconds. From its glass cabin, watch the valley drop beneath you as you ascend to the summit.

At the top, explore Yuanjiajie — home to the Hallelujah Mountain, the 150-meter pillar that became the film‘s iconic floating peak. Walk the cliff-top boardwalk to the First Bridge Under Heaven, a natural stone arch spanning two peaks with a 400-meter drop below. Continue to the Enchanting Terrace for panoramic views of hundreds of sandstone pillars.

After lunch (self-arranged), transfer by eco-bus to Tianzi Mountain. Admire the Imperial Brush Peaks and Fairy Maiden Presenting Flowers — the most photographed rock formations in Zhangjiajie. Descend via the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car.

In the evening, watch Charming Xiangxi, Zhangjiajie’s longest-running cultural performance featuring Tujia and Miao traditions, acrobatics, and the famous “Crying Marriage” ritual. Overnight in Wulingyuan.

Day 2: Grand Canyon, Dayong Ancient City Culture & Tianmen Mountain
After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Walk the Yuntiandu Glass Bridge — 430 meters long and 300 meters high, the world‘s highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge. Continue into the canyon for a scenic hike past waterfalls, streams, and the narrow A Strip of Sky gorge.

Next, visit Dayong Ancient City. Sit down for a traditional tea tasting, then join a calligraphy session with a local instructor. Practice brush strokes and receive your very own Chinese name, written on paper as a personal souvenir. Explore the ancient city‘s riverside paths and traditional architecture.

In the afternoon, transfer to Tianmen Mountain. Board the cable car for a ride from the city up into the clouds. Walk the cliff-hanging Glass Skywalk, then climb the legendary 999 Steps to Tianmen Cave, the massive natural arch known as the “Gate of Heaven”. Use the trans-mountain escalators to reach the summit for panoramic views.

After the tour, transfer to Zhangjiajie Airport or Railway Station for departure.
