Day 1 – Barcelona, Montserrat, Andorra, and Ax-les-Thermes
Departure from Barcelona to begin the tour with a first stop in Montserrat, one of Catalonia's most iconic sites, an ideal combination of scenery, spirituality, and a first visit of great natural beauty. Afterward, continue to Andorra, where you can stop to stroll through Andorra la Vella, have lunch, and soak up the mountain atmosphere before continuing your journey to France. Andorra is an excellent halfway point because it allows you to comfortably break up the journey and add an attractive stop before entering the Ariège. Andorra's own official guidebook highlights the country's natural attractions, valleys, and ecotourism routes.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Ax-les-Thermes, a Pyrenean town with a long tradition of thermal waters. Arrival is scheduled to allow you to settle into your hotel at your leisure and dedicate the rest of the day to wellness. Here, the main attraction is the thermal experience: Ax-les-Thermes has been renowned for its waters since ancient times, and its surroundings offer a perfect combination of relaxation, mountains, and the atmosphere of a thermal spa town.

Day 2 – Ax-les-Thermes, Mirepoix, Carcassonne, and Barcelona
After breakfast, depart from Ax-les-Thermes to begin the day by descending from the Pyrenees into the South of France. Your first stop will be in Mirepoix, one of the most charming towns in this region, which is perfect for a stroll through its historic center to discover its tranquil atmosphere, its arcaded square, and its traditional architecture. This is a delightful stop to take a break en route before continuing on to one of the trip's major highlights.
From there, the tour will continue to Carcassonne, where you will visit its famous medieval citadel, one of the most impressive walled complexes in Europe. Its walls, towers, and winding streets make this stop the day's grand monumental highlight and one of the most special visits on the entire route. After touring the citadel and stopping for lunch, we will depart for Girona, where we will make one last stop before returning to Barcelona. Girona provides the perfect grand finale to the tour, thanks to its historic center, its medieval layout, and the charm of one of the most captivating monumental cities in Catalonia. After the visit, the tour will continue to Barcelona, where it will end.
