Begin your journey with a visit to Noravank, a 13th-century monastery dramatically perched on the edge of a gorge. Carved into red limestone cliffs, Noravank is one of Armenia’s most photogenic treasures. Discover the history of the Orbelian princely dynasty who built Noravank, admire the intricate carvings by the famous sculptor Momik, and climb the narrow stone staircase of Surb Astvatsatsin Church for panoramic views of the canyon.
Continue your journey toward Syunik Province, where you’ll visit one of the most iconic landmarks of Armenia — the Tatev Monastery, a 9th-century stronghold of faith and wisdom. To reach Tatev, soar above the deep Vorotan Gorge on the Wings of Tatev cable car — the longest reversible aerial tramway in the world (5.7 km).
