Travel by train from Munich to Salzburg and discover one of the most fascinating cities in Austria. You'll discover its historic center, Mozart's legacy, Mirabell Palace and its Baroque gardens, as well as having free time to explore the city at your own pace.

The experience begins at Munich Central Station, where we'll take the train to Salzburg. During the journey, you can enjoy the landscapes of southern Germany and the Bavarian Alps as we approach Austria.

Upon arrival, we'll start a guided tour of the historic center of Salzburg, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its architectural richness and excellent state of preservation.

Our first stop will be Mirabell Palace, one of the great examples of Salzburg Baroque. We'll stroll through its elegant gardens, also famous for appearing in several scenes from the movie The Sound of Music.

We'll then head to the Old Town, following the Salzach River, and discover some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Salzburg is also the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, so we'll visit his birthplace and learn about the history of the composer who made the city one of the great centers of classical music.

The tour will also take us to Salzburg Cathedral, one of the city's symbols and an impressive example of Baroque architecture.

After the guided visit, you'll have approximately 2.5 hours of free time to enjoy Salzburg in your own way. You can try local specialties, savor the famous Mozartkugeln, visit a museum, or simply stroll around the streets and plazas.

You'll also have the option to take the funicular up to Hohensalzburg Fortress on your own to enjoy spectacular views of the Old Town and the Alps.

At the end of your free time, we'll meet up to take the train back to Munich.
