Discover traditional Chinese craftsmanship through a hands-on creative workshop in Guilin. Choose one of five craft experiences and make a personal piece with step-by-step guidance at the workshop. Shape clay during the pottery activity, arrange fine wire and add color in the cloisonné enamel workshop, create your own blue-and-white pattern with indigo tie-dye, assemble shimmering shell pieces in the mother-of-pearl inlay activity, or make a traditional fan using Song brocade fabric and pearl details. Each option introduces a different traditional technique in an approachable way for beginners. Take time to focus on the materials, patterns, and making process rather than simply viewing finished objects. Your completed handmade item provides a meaningful reminder of your time in Guilin. INFORMATION IMPORTANTE
This is an indoor, beginner-friendly workshop. Choose one craft option when booking; the experience lasts approximately 1–2 hours depending on the selected craft. Workshop hours are daily from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Instruction is primarily in Chinese. Instructors can use a few simple English phrases, but a live English-speaking guide and full English-language instruction are not included. A mobile translation app may be used for detailed communication. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please arrive on time and bring a charged smartphone. Final meeting and contact details will be sent through GetYourGuide messages or WhatsApp before the activity.
Meet at Daohe Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop (Exhibition Store), No. 4 Chuanshan East Road, Qixing District, Guilin. It is opposite the Ke World parking lot and beside Qixing District Little Star Kindergarten. Please follow the final meeting details sent by our staff before the activity.
