Discover the landscapes and local life of northern Vietnam on a 3-day motorbike journey through the Ha Giang Loop. Ride along winding mountain roads, pass through ethnic villages and explore some of the region’s most striking valleys and mountain passes.
This route combines the quieter countryside around Du Gia with iconic Ha Giang scenery, including Ma Pi Leng Pass and the Nho Que River. With a local Easy Rider handling the motorbike, you can focus on the views and the experience along the way.
Day 0 – Hanoi to Ha Giang
Take the VIP Cabin bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang and settle into your accommodation before the loop begins. This included overnight stay gives you time to rest before the first day of riding.
Day 1 – Ha Giang to Dong Van
Start with breakfast in Ha Giang before setting off through the northern mountains. Ride across Bac Sum Pass and visit Heaven’s Gate, where sweeping views open over the surrounding valleys.
Continue to Nam Dam Village and Lung Tam, an area known for traditional linen weaving. Travel through Yen Minh, Can Ty and Tham Ma Pass before reaching the Sang Tung Stone Desert. Continue to Dong Van for the night.
Day 2 – Dong Van to Du Gia
Leave Dong Van and ride along Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Ha Giang’s most dramatic mountain roads. Enjoy the rugged limestone scenery before continuing through Meo Vac and along the M Letter Road.
Travel via Mau Due and Ngoc Long before reaching Du Gia, a peaceful mountain area surrounded by green valleys and rural villages. Settle in for the night and enjoy the slower pace of life in the countryside.
Day 3 – Du Gia to Ha Giang
Begin the final day with a ride through Lung Ho Valley and the surrounding mountain landscapes. Continue via A Bong Waterfall and Thuong Hoa before returning to Ha Giang City.
From there, board the shuttle bus back to Hanoi, bringing your three-day adventure to an end.
