Guilin: Xingping&Yangshuo, Boat Ride, Cycling and Show Tour

Discover the beauty of Xingping Ancient Town on a day trip from Guilin. Enjoy a boat ride or bamboo rafting on the Li River, cycle through the countryside, and explore West Street in Yangshuo.
Depart from Guilin early in the morning and enjoy the rural scenery of the karst landscape along the way. Head to Xingping, the pearl of the Li River.

Stroll through the millennium-old ancient town, along the bluestone-paved paths and among the old houses and folk residences, and feel the tranquility of time. This is the location where the background pattern of the 20-yuan RMB note was taken, so don't forget to take a photo with the classic landscape.

Take a boat ride along the most scenic section of the Li River (electric bamboo rafts or sightseeing boats are recommended). Admire up close the wonders such as the Huangbu Reflection and the Nine-Horse Painting Hill, and immerse yourself in the poetic charm of the harmonious landscape.

Next, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You can enjoy authentic farmhouse cuisine (such as beer fish, stuffed snails) on the way, or choose a specialty restaurant near West Street.

After lunch, After renting an e-bike or bicycle at the scenic area entrance, begin your cycling adventure through the breathtaking landscape. Glide between dramatic karst peaks and serene farmland, passing iconic spots like the Yulong River, Gongnong Bridge, and Moon-Viewing Path—stop freely wherever you wish to soak in the views.

Then, head to West Street, a landmark in Yangshuo, which is a meeting point of Chinese and Western cultures. The street is lined with shops on both sides, where you can browse for handicrafts, sample snacks, enjoy a cup of coffee, and soak up the bustling atmosphere of the market.

In the evening, have dinner at a farmhouse in or near West Street, then joining the Dong King's Night Banquet Bonfire Show. Watch live performances such as Dong Grand Songs, dances, and folk rituals. After the show, dance and interact around the bonfire. Share travel anecdotes with fellow travelers and experience the enthusiastic folk atmosphere under the starry sky.

After the event, take car back to Guilin urban area to conclude a fulfilling day.
