Description

Discover the grandeur of Monte Albán, enjoy a tasting of 5 award-winning mezcals at our sustainable palenque, and learn about Oaxaca's craft tradition in alebrije and black pottery workshops.
Discover Oaxaca through its history, flavors, and craft traditions on a full-day experience.

Start your adventure with a pick-up from your accommodation and get ready to discover one of the most impressive places in Mexico: Monte Albán, the ancient capital of the Zapotec civilization and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For about two hours, explore its majestic pyramids, ceremonial plazas, and ancient buildings while learning about the history of this extraordinary culture.

The experience continues at Mezcal Capotlán, our artisanal palenque committed to sustainability. Here, you'll learn how authentic Oaxacan mezcal is made, from cooking the agave in traditional ovens to grinding it with a stone mill that operates without the use of animals. Learn about our environmentally responsible practices and enjoy a guided tasting of five award-winning mezcals, where you'll learn to recognize their aromas, flavors, and characteristics.

Next, dive into the world of Oaxacan folk art by visiting San Antonio Arrazola, famous for its colorful alebrijes. Visit a family-run workshop and watch as artisans transform copal wood into incredible hand-carved and hand-painted figures.

Our next stop will be San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its iconic black pottery. Discover the traditional techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation and see the craftsmanship that brings these unique pieces to life.

During the tour, you'll also have the option of enjoying a delicious all-you-can-eat Oaxacan buffet with typical dishes from the region (additional cost, not included in the tour price).

Travel comfortably in small groups, with safe transportation, personalized attention, and the backing of 13 years of experience in the tourism industry and our registration with the National Tourism Registry.

More than just visiting Oaxaca, experience its traditions, meet its people, and discover the essence of a land full of history, art, and mezcal.
