Which circuit is right for you?

Circuit 1 – Panoramic Route: Climb to the upper terraces for the famous postcard view of the citadel with Huayna Picchu behind it. Best for photos and for travelers who want the iconic image. Includes options with the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) or Inca Bridge trails.

Circuit 2 – Classic Route: The most complete visit. Walk down through the urban sector, the Main Plaza, Temple of the Three Windows, Sacred Rock and the ceremonial spaces, with a stop at the upper viewpoint for the postcard photo. Recommended for first-time visitors.

Circuit 3 – Royalty Route: A shorter, mostly flat path through the lower sector: the Royal Enclosures, the Temple of the Sun area and the water mirrors. Ideal for families, seniors or anyone who prefers less climbing. Also the best option for last-minute dates.

Please note: Machu Picchu tickets are personal and non-transferable, and the entry time cannot be changed once issued, in line with Ministry of Culture regulations. Each circuit follows a one-way route inside the site, with an average visit of 2 to 3 hours.

Bring your original passport on the day; copies or photos are not accepted at the gate.

Circuits are one-way routes; you must follow the circuit printed on your ticket.
Arrive about 30 minutes before your time slot.
Bus from Aguas Calientes and guide service are not included but are easy to arrange on site.
Restrooms are outside the entrance only. Large backpacks, tripods, drones and food are not allowed inside.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and need their own ticket.
