Description

Pick fresh tea leaves in Longjing Village, craft your own porcelain in Jingdezhen, and discover the timeless beauty of Chinese silk. Two days, three treasures, one unforgettable journey through China.
Day 1
07:30 Departure from your hotel for Hangzhou (Shanghai example)
A private vehicle picks you up at your hotel and transfers you to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station together with your guide. The high‑speed train ride takes roughly 1 hour to Hangzhou East Railway Station. Custom departure arrangements are available for travellers starting from locations within Zhejiang Province.

11:00 Arrival in Longjing Village
Follow local farmers to pick tea on the mountain. Learn to pluck only one bud and one leaf. Feel fresh leaves between your fingers, with layers of green tea hills all around. Enjoy a village‑style lunch featuring dishes infused with local tea ingredients. A tranquil tea set is laid out on the hillside: sip genuine Longjing tea paired with delicate tea snacks, soaking in the fresh, laid‑back flavour that defines Hangzhou.

14:00 West Lake Leisure Stroll
Walk slowly along West Lake for the whole afternoon. No crowded boats or rushed visits. Enjoy willow trees, stone bridges, distant mountains and quiet lake views.

17:30 Hefang Street Visit
First stop at the silk museum to explore Hangzhou’s silk heritage. Long known as the Hometown of Silk, Hangzhou reveals how a single silkworm thread is woven into luxurious satin fabrics and ornate imperial dragon robes. Afterwards, have dinner sampling local street food on the ancient pedestrian street. Try iconic Hangzhou bites: Congbaohui, Dingsheng Cake, and sweet osmanthus‑infused West‑Lake lotus root starch.

Day 2
07:30 High‑speed train from Hangzhou West Railway Station to Jingdezhen North Railway Station
The journey lasts approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, sample light local street snacks (not a full meal) to get a first taste of the famous porcelain capital.

13:00 Hands‑on session at the ceramic workshop
Your instructor leads you to the pottery wheel. Place a lump of porcelain clay at the centre. As the wheel spins, shape the clay slowly into your own bowl or cup. Next, decorate the raw unglazed bisque ware. You may paint classic blue‑and‑white motifs, write your name, sketch a cat, or create any design you like. Your finished piece will be sent to the kiln for firing. Firing in Jingdezhen normally takes 2‑4 weeks. If you would like your finished artwork shipped to your home address, please contact us separately for arrangements.

17:30 Return journey
Board the high‑speed train for the return trip. The ride takes around 4 hours. You will arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station at approximately 21:30, where a private car will transfer you back to your hotel.

What you take away:
- Fresh Longjing tea you picked yourself
- One-of-a-kind porcelain made and painted by you
- Unforgettable slow afternoon by West Lake
- Memories of Hangzhou and Jingdezhen in one easy trip
Please note: Schedule may adjust slightly due to weather, traffic or train times. Experiences remain the same.
