Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel. After a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside of Central Bulgaria, arrive in the world-famous Rose Valley, home of the legendary Bulgarian rose oil. Walk through blooming rose gardens (during the flowering season), breathe in the incredible aroma, and learn about the centuries-old tradition of rose oil production.
Visit one of the region’s oldest traditional distilleries, where you will discover how the precious rose oil – often called “liquid gold” – has been produced for hundreds of years. During the blooming season, you will also have the chance to pick rose petals yourself and experience this unique local tradition firsthand.
Afterwards, still surrounded by the romantic scent of roses, continue to the Valley of the Thracian Kings, one of the most important archaeological regions in Europe. Here you will explore ancient temples and impressive burial tombs of powerful Thracian rulers. Your guide will bring the past to life as you learn about the mysterious Thracian civilization, its rituals, and its remarkable architectural achievements dating back thousands of years.
