Description
Travel through beautiful landscapes in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. See Moray, the Salt Mines of Maras, Pisaq, Urubamba Valley, and the stunning town of Ollantaytambo.
We'll pick you up in the morning from your hotel or accommodation in the city of Cusco and then set off on our adventure to the north of the region.
Our first stop will be Chinchero, where we'll visit a local community to see the Textile Interpretation Center. We'll also take a guided visit to the Moray Archeological Site, considered the Inca Agricultural Laboratory. Later, we'll pass through the town of Maras and also visit the Salt Mines.
We'll head to the town of Urubamba, where we'll have an all-you-can-eat lunch featuring Peruvian cuisine.
At noon, we'll continue our journey to our restaurant in Urubamba. We'll take the opportunity to enjoy a delicious and nutritious New Andean all-you-can-eat lunch featuring exquisite Cusco cuisine.
Continuing our tour, we'll head to the Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, which in Inca times was a tambo, or resting place. It is also the starting point for the journey to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We'll explore its most important stone buildings, such as the large stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun, and the fountain of the Princess's Baths from that era.
On the way back to Cusco, we'll head to the town of Pisac. Upon arriving in the town, we'll head up to the Pisaq Archaeological Site, which is built on top of a mountain.
Back in the village of Pisac, we'll visit its picturesque local craft market. The locals are experts in working with minerals, and we'll be able to do some shopping there.
We'll wrap up the excursion by returning to the city of Cusco. The tour will end at Plaza de San Francisco at around 6:30 or 7:00 PM.
