Learn to center clay, shape a piece on the pottery wheel, carve it, and finish it with a burning service.
Explanation of how to attach clay to the wheel (Centering), explanation of how to place mud in the center of the wheel while securing it, how to make the hole in the middle, expand the base or desired shape, fish pull to shape, the final shape and finish of the piece, and burning service. Learn the basic steps of shaping and creating your own pottery piece while following the instructions. Workshop duration: 1 hour. Time allocation for completing a task: 15-20 minutes of shaping on the wheel, 15-20 minutes drying, and time remaining to carve the piece and add the final details.
