Description

Enjoy a tasting of autochthonous grape varieties, known for their unique character and local heritage, paired with finest wines from our curated selection and a Herzegovinian cheese platter.
1. The experience in short

In this unique experience, you will taste 4 carefully selected wines from Herzegovina, made from both indigenous and international grape varieties. The tasting is accompanied by a platter of traditional Herzegovinian cheeses, thoughtfully paired with the wines. A local guide will lead you through the entire experience, sharing stories about the wines, the region, and its traditions during a relaxed 90-minute tasting session.

2. Herzegovina and wine - why should you try it?

Herzegovina is the most renowned wine-growing region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to its Mediterranean climate, abundant sunshine, and rocky soil, all of which give the wines their distinctive character.

Winemaking in Herzegovina has a centuries-old tradition, and wine has always played an important role in everyday life, family gatherings, and local customs.

During the tasting, you will be introduced to four different wines, learning about their aromas, flavors, production methods, and the grape varieties that make Herzegovina famous, such as Žilavka and Blatina.

In Herzegovina, wine is more than just a drink - it is a symbol of hospitality, connection, and tradition. It is shared at the table, during meaningful conversations, and on special occasions, often as a gesture of welcome.

With expert yet approachable guidance, you will learn how to taste wine properly, how to pair it with cheese, and why Herzegovinian wines are gaining increasing recognition on the regional and international wine scene.

In Bosnia people drink beer, in Herzegovina they prefer wine - and Herzegovinian wine is a story worth experiencing.
Come and discover the flavors, aromas, and traditions of this remarkable region.
