Description
Perfect for cycling enthusiasts, this tour takes you to Banteay Srei Temple, through authentic villages and a local cashew nut farm, with a chance to enjoy homemade bamboo sticky rice.
Begin your day early with a hotel pickup and bike setup. Meet your guide and support driver, prepare your bicycle, and receive a safety briefing before departure. Cycle approximately 10–12 km to Preah Dak Village, one of the most famous villages in the Angkor region.
Enjoy free time to purchase a traditional Khmer breakfast from local vendors. Popular options include Bay Sach Chrouk (grilled pork with rice), Bay Sach Moan (grilled chicken with rice), Kuy Teav (Cambodian noodle soup), and Bobor (Cambodian rice porridge).
Sample traditional palm muffins and visit a local family workshop to learn how they are made. Then, continue cycling through picturesque villages, rice fields, and rural landscapes. Along the way, observe local daily life and traditional farming activities.
Pass by Phnom Bok, a beautiful hill topped with a 9th-century temple, and stop at a local monastery to gain insight into Buddhist monk life and education in Cambodia.
Continue riding through the countryside and enjoy a tasting of homemade bamboo sticky rice, a traditional Cambodian delicacy. Stop for a short break at Wat Teveak before continuing toward Banteay Srey Temple.
Arrive at Banteay Srey Temple, often called the “Jewel of Khmer Art” for its exceptional pink sandstone carvings and remarkably preserved details. Spend approximately one hour exploring the temple and learning about its fascinating history from your guide.
After the temple visit, cycle to a local restaurant for a lunch break. Following lunch, your guide and support team will load the bicycles onto the support vehicle. Relax during your transfer back to your hotel by tuk-tuk or car, bringing an unforgettable cycling adventure to a comfortable close.
