Experience the 5-hour quad or buggy safari to Akamas Forest. Explore sea caves, Lara Bay, turtle beach, scenic villages, shipwreck views and breathtaking viewpoints on an exciting off-road adventure.
The tour begins at 10:00 a.m., and it is highly recommended to arrive 30 minutes earlier for safety checks, registration, and a full briefing before departure. Once everyone is ready, the adventure starts along the stunning coastline, beginning at the famous Coral Beach of Pegeia, known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic surroundings.

From there, we head towards one of the most iconic landmarks in the area, the EDRO III shipwreck and the impressive sea caves. Here you will admire dramatic coastal rock formations shaped by nature over thousands of years. The EDRO III, a cargo ship flying the Sierra Leone flag, ran aground on 8 September 2011 while travelling from Sierra Leone to Rhodes, carrying a load of plasterboard. Today, it remains a striking and popular photo stop.

Next, we continue to St George’s Harbour, a charming coastal area known for its archaeological discoveries, ancient catacombs, small marinas, and breathtaking sea views. This peaceful stop offers a perfect opportunity to take photos and enjoy the beauty of the coastline.

The journey then takes us into the protected Akamas Reserve, one of Cyprus’ most important natural areas. Here we explore the turtle nesting beaches and may stop at the Lara Turtle Conservation Station, where you can learn more about local wildlife protection efforts and, depending on conditions, even enjoy a refreshing swim in the area.

Our next stop is Lara Bay, a pristine and unspoiled beach surrounded by nature. Here we pause at a small café located between the mountains and the sea, offering time for lunch, refreshments, and relaxation. Guests can also enjoy swimming in the clear waters or simply unwind under the sun or shade.

We then continue to a magnificent viewpoint overlooking Akamas Forest, offering panoramic views of the peninsula and surrounding landscapes. On the way to the final stages of the tour, we pass through traditional stone-built villages on the north-eastern slopes of Paphos, showcasing authentic Cypriot charm.

Finally, we visit the viewpoints of Pittokopos and Avakas Gorge, where you will enjoy some of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Akamas Peninsula, completing an unforgettable 5-hour off-road safari experience combining nature, history, and adventure.
