Where does it start?
• We depart from San José in the early morning, from the pre-arranged meeting point.
Transport?
• Comfort 4x4 vehicle, specially equipped for the high-mountain area.
Where are we going?
• We will head to the Turrialba Volcano area, at an altitude of approximately 9,843 feet (3,000 meters), to a cabin located on a high-mountain estate just two miles (3 kilometers) from the volcano.
What will we be able to observe?
• Wildlife: coyotes, tapirs, and mountain birds, including the quetzal
• Night sky and stargazing
• Sunrise over the Caribbean Sea
