Karlovac: Korana River Kayak Tour with Museum & Castle

A Unique Tour – A Blend of Nature and Culture The day begins in Karlovac with a visit to the Homeland War Museum, where you’ll learn more about the history of the region. The kayaking tour starts from the museum, taking you along the peaceful flow of the Korana River through beautiful landscapes, ending at the city Aquarium. A healthy, locally sourced meal will recharge your energy for the rest of the day. The tour continues with a visit to the old town center of Karlovac, a walk through the historic castle, and an introduction to the city’s rich heritage. There will also be time to relax – grab a coffee and explore local crafts and products before returning.

Equipment We Use

We use kayaks designed for two adults and one child. These kayaks are very stable and easy to handle. Each kayak is equipped with a waterproof bag or container (barrel) for cameras and similar items. Each group is accompanied by one or two guides, depending on the group size. Every participant receives a helmet, paddle, and life jacket. In case of colder or windy weather, protective gear such as a neoprene suit will be provided.

Group size: Minimum 4, maximum 14 people per group. If the group has fewer than 4 participants but the client still wishes to proceed, the tour will be charged at the rate for 4 people. Minimum age: 6 years

Additional Information
All participants must be able to swim and are required to follow the instructions of the guide/skipper to ensure the safety of themselves and others. The skipper has both the right and the responsibility to deny boarding to anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such cases, no refunds will be issued. Each group is accompanied by an experienced guide/skipper responsible for training and safety throughout the tour. A waterproof bag or container is provided in the kayak for cameras and other valuables.
