Description

Explore the waters of Ischia on a guided snorkeling tour among sea caves, submerged ruins, and underwater gas emissions linked to its volcanic origin, in a unique natural setting.
Enjoy an authentic snorkeling experience in Ischia, discovering sea caves, crystal-clear seabeds, and unique scenery where nature meets history. This activity is ideal for those who want to explore the island’s sea in an active and engaging way, accompanied by a certified diving instructor and snorkeling guide.

After a welcome at the diving center and a short introductory briefing, you will board an inflatable boat for a 15-minute navigation along the coast, reaching the first exploration areas.

Departing from Ischia Ponte, you will head to the snorkeling spot, where the activity begins in the waters of the Grotta Verde and the Grotta del Mago, two stunning natural environments known for their light effects, reflections on the water, and marine-rich seabeds. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore these areas while observing fish, algae, and the unique features of the underwater environment.

The experience will then continue towards the area of the Aragonese Castle and Cartaromana, home to a fascinating submerged archaeological site. Here, snorkeling becomes even more special, allowing you to closely observe remains from Roman times beneath the sea, offering a glimpse into the island’s ancient past.

In the shallow waters around the castle, you will also witness the phenomenon of underwater gas emissions, visible as small bubbles rising to the surface, linked to Ischia’s volcanic origin.

At the end of the tour, you will return to the diving center, where you can change and relax, concluding the experience in total comfort.
