Description

Experience Nagoya’s sumo tournament, where ancient rituals meet raw power. Unforgettable cultural show. Includes round-trip train from Osaka for a seamless day trip into Japan’s traditions.
Discover the cultural heart of Nagoya on a full-day experience that blends historic sites, serene Japanese gardens, and the unforgettable atmosphere of a live sumo tournament.

Your journey begins with a train ride from Shin Osaka Station to Nagoya. Upon arrival, meet your guide at the Silver Clock inside Nagoya Station and start exploring the city by subway. The first stop is the vibrant Muneharu Kinshachi area, where you will have free time to walk around, shop, or enjoy a local snack.

Next, enjoy a relaxing visit to the peaceful Ninomaru Garden, a beautifully landscaped Japanese garden ideal for a calm stroll and photos. Afterwards, admire the exterior of Nagoya Castle and Honmaru Palace, two of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks. Please note that entrance inside the buildings is not included.

The highlight of the day is attending the official Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament at IG Arena, one of Japan’s most prestigious sporting events. Far beyond a sport, sumo is a living tradition shaped by ritual, discipline, and centuries of culture.

Enjoy reserved chair seating on the second floor with excellent views of the action. Depending on your selection, you can choose between:

*B-class seats: closer to the ring with a well-balanced view
*C-class seats: slightly elevated for a wider, panoramic perspective
*SS-class seats: more comfortable seating located in the front rows of the balcony section

During the event, a professional sumo guide will accompany you, explaining the rules, rituals, ranking system, and cultural meaning behind sumo, enriching your understanding of every match.

At the end of the experience, you will return comfortably to Osaka by train.
