Head to a handmade craft shop operated by the NPO “Yokomachi Juumonji Machisodate-kai” and enjoy creating your very own original Neputa lantern. Choose your favorite design from a variety of colorful Neputa paintings, and experience making a one-of-a-kind lantern.
The Neputa paintings used in this workshop are repurposed from those that actually paraded in the Kuroishi Neputa Festival, held every summer. By selecting and applying your preferred patterns and colors, you can create a truly unique lantern or fan, unlike any other in the world.
