Discover the joy of kayaking with this beginner-friendly Riverwalk Intro Paddle, designed especially for first-timers and families. Start your experience with a comprehensive on-land lesson led by one of Urban Kayaks’ experienced instructors, who will guide you through the basics of paddling, safety, and river etiquette. With a typical ratio of one instructor per four boats, you’ll receive plenty of personal attention and support as you get comfortable with your kayak.
Once you’re ready, take to the water for a relaxed hour-long paddle along the main branch of the Chicago River. Glide past the vibrant Chicago Riverwalk, a bustling promenade lined with landscaped gardens, striking public art, and lively local amenities. Your instructor will be nearby to offer tips, encouragement, and ensure everyone enjoys a safe and memorable outing.
