During this Finntastic walk through the tunnels and defensive ramparts, you will learn about one of the biggest sea fortresses in the world! You will visit the main sites as well as some hidden gems!
Our Finntastic Walking tour is not a normal Suomenlinna tour offered by other companies, and why is that? Because:
- We show you hidden gems on Suomenlinna
- We simplify history, so you could learn easily about all the battles and wars that Suomenlinna has seen
- We talk to you not only about history, but also about the 800 people who live in this UNESCO world heritage site: Where do they go for school? Is there a hospital there? What about a prison?

- We will walk through canoons, tunnels, and walls to feel the workers and soldiers who spent most of their lives protecting Finland.
Your tour includes free entry to the Suomenlinna Museum, a great chance to explore more on your own afterwards. Inside, you’ll find fascinating objects, models, stories and a short film that ties the entire history of the fortress together.

A good level of English is required (simultanous translation for your companions is not allowed)
Wear trustable walking shoes for walking on cobbles and old steps
Look for a blue and white umbrella at Suomenlinna´s main pier (when you get off HSL ferry). The guide also holds a sign that says "Finntastic Walking Tour"
