Experience the thrill of driving your own team of huskies through the snowy landscapes. Learn how to control the sled from qualified guides on this adults-only, small group husky sledding tour.
Start your Arctic adventure with a pickup from one of the collective meeting points in and around Rovaniemi. You will arrive at one of the most modern kennel facilities in the country and be greeted by your guide. First, you will receive arctic outer clothing to keep you warm. Then, continue with a safety briefing and lesson on how to drive a dog team from the qualified guide. Once you finish your training you will meet your team of huskies. And then it is time to get on the sled and go!
Enjoy a husky ride of 12 to 18 km, where you will marvel at the beauty of the nature as you slide through the snowy forest, across frozen lakes, and through arctic landscapes. Halfway through the husky ride, there will be a break where you get to take photos and you will also have a chance to switch the driver of the sled.
Arrive back to the kennel and warm yourself around the fire listening to stories about the daily life at the kennel while sipping hot juice and enjoying cookies. Then transfer back to selected drop off locations in and around Rovaniemi.
