Description
During this half day tour you will visit the highlights of the Luberon region such as historic hill-top villages like Gordes, Abbey of Senanque, Roussillon, and Fontaine de Vaucluse.
Open your senses to the changing colors of Provence. Discover the beauty of an area of Provence which has preserved its natural appeal just as much as its history. We start with the famous spring of Fontaine de Vaucluse with its pure water and leafy surroundings. The Luberon Regional Natural Park established in the 1970s, is characterised by a series of strikingly picturesque hilltop limestone villages such as Gordes, while the village of Roussillon is renowned for its magnificent red cliffs and former ochre quarry. The landscape as described in Peter Mayle’s books is particularly colourful with vineyards, olive groves, Cyprus trees as well as poppy, sunflower and lavender fields. It’s the perfect tour for photo lovers.
