“Portraits in Natural Light” Photography Workshop, Beginners – Les Angles

If you have a passion for photography and would like to gain a better understanding of your camera and improve your portraits in natural light, then this workshop is for you!
You love capturing family moments, taking beautiful portraits of your friends or children, and capturing unique emotions, but unfortunately, the camera you have or your technique doesn’t allow you to get photos that are good enough. And yet, your camera is a latest-generation model? From a top brand? The very best…?
Yes, but unfortunately, even the best camera, if used in automatic mode and without understanding the basics of lighting and posing, won't be able to produce the photos you dream of.

Therefore, the aim of this portrait workshop is to help you understand various fundamental concepts of photography. How should you position your model? In which direction relative to the light? From which angle? At what distance? With which lens?

So, we'll cover all these concepts and put them into practice together!

The workshop lasts approximately 4 hours and is based on a specific subject and theme.

The 4 hours are divided between theory and practice, allowing you to apply the concepts learned directly and to have your questions or difficulties addressed.

Ideally, you should have taken my “Getting Out of Automatic Mode” workshop or be familiar with the manual modes on your camera.

On the agenda:

– Review of the different camera modes
– Review of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
– Understanding the effects of light (shadows, highlights, reflection, etc.)
– Exposure, light metering, and focus points
– How to position and direct your model
– Different poses for men and women
