Guided hike from Racou to Collioure (1h30): nature, geology, vineyards, and art. With a local and university guide for an authentic immersion in the Costa Vermella.
Forget the usual routes and join me on a 2-hour immersion between land and sea. Our adventure kicks off in El Racou, where the Pyrenees plunge into the Mediterranean, and wraps up in the iconic alleyways of Collioure.
What will we explore together?
The Balcony over the Sea: We'll walk the coastal path, with stunning views of secret coves and the biodiversity of the marine reserve (we'll talk about Posidonia, the lung of the sea!).
Land of Character: Discover how the Tramontana wind and shale have shaped the landscape and the temperament of the winegrowers who cultivate impossible terraces.
Border Stories: Between military forts and smugglers' routes, we'll relive the secrets between France and Spain.
Explosion of Colors: In Collioure, we'll understand why Matisse and Derain created Fauvism here in 1905, unleashing color under this unique light.
Practical details:
Route: 4 km along the coastal path, visiting Fort Carré and the bay of Collioure.
Difficulty: Medium (sports shoes required).
