Discover the best of Georgia on a 7-day tour — wander Tbilisi's old town, taste local wine in the countryside, take in stunning mountain scenery, and discover ancient cave cities and dramatic canyons.
Day 1: Tbilisi Arrival – City Tour
Arrive in Tbilisi, transfer to the hotel. After some rest, begin your sightseeing tour at Tbilisi's Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the largest religious structures in the world.
Continue to the old part of the city. Visit Metekhi Church, then Narikala fortress, and stroll down to Meidan Square.
Explore Abanotubani, famous for its historical Sulfur Baths. Walk down the Legvtakhevi canyon to discover a lovely waterfall in the heart of Old Tbilisi. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Freedom Square, the Bridge of Peace, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the famous clock tower of Rezo Gabriadze Theatre.
Drop off at your hotel.
Day 2: Tbilisi – Qvevri Workshop – Alaverdi Monastery – Tsinandali – Telavi
In the morning, drive to the Kakheti region, famous for its old winemaking traditions. Visit a traditional Qvevri workshop, observe the ancient clay vessel–making process, and learn about Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition.
Continue to Alaverdi Monastery and then to Tsinandali. Visit the house museum of Alexander Chavchavadze, a famous public figure and poet from the nineteenth century. The house's wine cellar contains a unique selection of Georgian and European wines.
Drive to Telavi. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Telavi – Gremi – Khareba Winery – Sighnaghi – Bodbe – Tbilisi
After breakfast, drive to the Gremi fortress, which was built between the 15th and 16th centuries. Continue to Kvareli.
Visit the Khareba Winery - a unique wine cellar/tunnel carved deep within the Caucasus Mountains. Enjoy a wine tour and tasting.
Continue to Sighnaghi, the famed city of love, located on a hilltop with panoramic views of the Alazani Valley. Visit the Bodbe monastery, a nunnery built in the 9th century.
Drive back to Tbilisi.
Day 4: Tbilisi – Jvari Monastery – Ananuri – Kazbegi
In the morning, head to Kazbegi. Stop by Jvari monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site on a hill overlooking the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers' scenic confluence.
Carry on to Ananuri Fortress with an ornately decorated façade, several towers, and defense walls.
Continue to Kazbegi, make photo stops at the Gudauri Viewpoint. Reach Stepantsminda. Visit Gergeti Holy Trinity Church to take in the breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek (5033 m).
Drop off at the hotel.
Day 5: Kazbegi – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi
Drive to Gori and visit Joseph Stalin's house-museum. Explore Uplistsikhe cave town, dating back to the first and second millennia B.C. The complex now contains several significant cave structures.
Continue to the west of Georgia. Arrive at Kutaisi.
Day 6: Kutaisi – Martvili Canyon – Prometheus Cave – Tbilisi
In the morning, visit the Gelati Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Georgia. Depart for Martvili Canyon. Enjoy the canyon panorama from three platform views and constructed bridges.
Explore the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites made by nature at Prometheus Cave.
Drive back to Tbilisi.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer to the airport.
