Tbilisi: Mtskheta, Borjomi, and Vardzia Day Trip

The first stop of the tour is Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and one of the country’s most important religious and historical centers. Visit the famous Jvari Monastery, beautifully located on a hilltop overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and discover the spiritual significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

After Mtskheta and Jvari, continue to Borjomi Central Park, one of Georgia’s most famous resort towns known for its mineral waters and picturesque nature. Walk through the park, taste the legendary Borjomi mineral water directly from the spring, and enjoy the fresh mountain air surrounded by forests and rivers.

The next destination is Vardzia, the famous cave monastery carved into the cliffs of Erusheti Mountain. Dating back to the 12th century during the reign of Queen Tamar, Vardzia is one of Georgia’s most remarkable historical landmarks, where visitors can explore tunnels, caves, chapels, and ancient halls while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views.

During the tour, there will be a stop at a local restaurant where guests can enjoy traditional Georgian cuisine and relax before continuing the journey. Lunch and entrance tickets are not included in the tour price.
