Day 2: Ancient Capitals & Legends in Stone

Start: 09:00 | Finish: 19:00

Today, we leave the modern world behind to walk the paths of kings and ancient civilizations. We follow the Mtkvari River toward the spiritual heart of Georgia, where history is carved into the very cliffs.

Jvari Monastery: Our morning begins where the clouds meet the mountains. This 6th-century masterpiece overlooks the dramatic meeting of two rivers. It’s a place of breathtaking silence, offering the most iconic view in Georgia and a profound sense of ancient spirituality.

Mtskheta & Svetitskhoveli: We descend into the "Holy City." Wander through cobbled streets to the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. It’s a living museum where every stone tells a story of kings and saints, standing as a grand beacon of Georgia’s deep-rooted faith.

Stalin Museum (Gori): A journey into a complex chapter of world history. In Gori, we visit the humble wooden hut where Joseph Stalin was born and his massive, bulletproof private railway carriage. It’s a rare, unfiltered look at the legacy of a figure who reshaped the 20th century.

Uplistsikhe Cave City: We finish by stepping back 3,000 years into a city carved into golden sandstone cliffs. Explore the winding tunnels and sun-temples of this "Lord's Fortress." Walking through these echoing stone halls as the light softens is a truly mystical experience.
