Day 1: Tbilisi to Stepantsminda
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Tbilisi via the Georgian Military Highway. Make your first stop at the historic Ananuri Fortress, overlooking the Zhinvali Reservoir. Capture stunning photos of one of Georgia’s most photogenic spots.
Continue to the Zhinvali Reservoir Viewpoint, where you’ll be mesmerized by the crystal blue water surrounded by mountains. Next, head to the Gudauri Panorama (Friendship Monument) for breathtaking valley views. If you’re feeling adventurous, opt for a seasonal paragliding experience.
Arrive in Stepantsminda in the afternoon and check in at your hotel or guesthouse. Spend the evening relaxing in the village surroundings or take a short walk to enjoy sunset views of Mount Kazbek.
Day 2: Kazbegi Exploration Day
Start your day with a visit to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, perched on a hilltop with a backdrop of Mount Kazbek. Choose to reach the church by jeep or enjoy a hike through the stunning landscape.
In the afternoon, explore the dramatic Dariali Gorge, located near the Russian border. Marvel at the river, cliffs, and waterfalls. If you’re up for more adventure, take a short hike to the twin Gveleti Waterfalls.
