Venture into the remote southern reaches of Wadi Rum Protected Area on a guided hike to Um Ad Dami, Jordan's highest mountain. Combine a rewarding summit walk with a jeep journey through striking desert scenery and an overnight stay at a Bedouin camp.
Meet in Rum Village before heading south by jeep, passing through a changing landscape where sandstone formations give way to rugged granite mountains. Watch the colors of the desert shift around you and admire the distinctive rock patterns that shape this lesser-visited part of Wadi Rum.
At Um Ad Dami, follow your local Bedouin guide on the safest route to the summit. The ascent is steep in sections and follows loose, rocky ground, but the route is relatively short. At the top, take in expansive views across Wadi Rum and toward Saudi Arabia.
After descending, relax over a Bedouin-style picnic lunch with tea. Continue through southern Wadi Rum, enjoying its open desert landscapes, varied sand colors, and dramatic rock formations. Finish in Rum Village or return to Wadi Rum Sky Bedouin Camp for sunset, dinner, and an overnight stay. Wake up to breakfast before continuing your desert adventure.

The summit route is steep in places and includes loose rocks. Earlier departures may be recommended in winter because of shorter daylight hours. The tour may also begin from camp after breakfast when booked as part of a longer stay. Drones are not permitted where restricted within the protected area.
