Description
This Guatemala experience was designed for people who want more than just a “retreat” or a checklist vacation. It’s for travelers who want to feel connected — to nature, to culture and themselves.
Day 0 – Arrival
Arrive at your convenience and settle into your room at Hotel Barceló Guatemala City, conveniently located next to the airport. Meet the group the following morning.
Day 1 – Lake Atitlán
After breakfast, travel to spectacular Lake Atitlán, considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Cross the lake by boat to our peaceful retreat center where you'll enjoy lunch, free time to relax, swim, or explore before experiencing your first wellness activity: an evening Sound Healing session overlooking the lake.
Day 2 – Yoga, San Juan La Laguna & Temazcal
Begin the day with sunrise yoga surrounded by volcanoes. Later, visit the colorful village of San Juan La Laguna, famous for its murals, local artists, and traditional weaving cooperative where natural dyes and ancestral techniques are still used today.
In the afternoon, experience a traditional Mayan temazcal ceremony—an ancient steam ritual designed to cleanse the body and mind and reconnect with yourself.
Day 3 – Indian Nose Sunrise, Nature & Cacao
Wake before dawn for one of Guatemala's most unforgettable moments: the sunrise hike to Indian Nose. Watch the first light illuminate Lake Atitlán and its surrounding volcanoes from above the clouds.
Later, explore Atitlán Nature Reserve with its hanging bridges, waterfalls, jungle trails, and wildlife before ending the day with a traditional cacao ceremony rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions.
Day 4 – Antigua Guatemala
After breakfast, travel to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Antigua. On the way, stop at a macadamia farm to learn about local production and enjoy lunch.
In Antigua, discover cobblestone streets, colonial churches, hidden courtyards, rooftop views, and fascinating history during a guided walking tour led by a local expert.
Day 5 – Hobbitenango, Coffee & Chocolate
Visit the mountain parks of Hobbitenango and Altamira, famous for panoramic volcano views, giant swings, and incredible photo opportunities.
After lunch at an organic farm-to-table restaurant, continue to Finca La Azotea for a coffee plantation tour before creating your own chocolate during an interactive workshop.
Day 6 – Optional Acatenango Volcano Expedition (additional price. You can decide later if you want to go)
For those seeking an unforgettable adventure, join the optional overnight hike to Acatenango Volcano.
After reaching the mountain cabins, you'll witness the spectacular eruptions of Volcán de Fuego directly across the valley. Watching lava and ash light up the night sky is one of the most extraordinary experiences in Central America.
Day 7 – Departure
After descending the volcano (or enjoying a relaxed morning in Antigua if not joining the hike), it's time to say goodbye to Guatemala with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and experiences that go far beyond the typical tour.
