Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Kochi. Head east towards Mulanthuruthy, the capital of Marthomman Jacobite Syrian Christians in Kerala. Visit the Marthoman Jacobite Syrian Cathedral Church, a significant historical church established in the 11th century. Admire its unique blend of Indian, West-Asian, and European architectural styles, with intricate carvings, sculptures, and paintings. Enter the church to see the elegantly decorated interior and take photographs.
Next, visit Pazhoor, home to the famous Shiva Temple, one of the 108 blessed Shiva Abodes in India. This temple is a wonderful example of Kerala Temple architecture. Enter the temple premises and look around. Non-Hindus will not be allowed inside the sanctum, but you can take photos with permission from the authorities.
Pazhoor is also famous for its astrologers. Visit the astrology center linked to the Pazhoor temple, where scholars have lived for centuries, serving as the Patronal Scholars of Kochi Royalty.
