Description
Explore Komodo Island on a 3-day tour from Labuan Bajo. Swim in hidden caves, trek with wild Komodo dragons, and snorkel vibrant pink beaches. End the days with Flores’ breathtaking & rich traditions.
Begin your adventure in Labuan Bajo, where you’ll be welcomed by your guide and driven to Rangko Village. Take a local motorized boat to a natural pool cave, where you can swim and admire the stunning stalagmites and stalactites.
Afterward, return to Labuan Bajo and stop by Sylvia Hill to see the view looking out at the mangroves and thousands of palm trees. After sunset, drive to your preferred hotel.
On the second day, set sail for Padar Island to enjoy the stunning view of the three beautiful beaches. Then, head to Long Pink Beach for snorkeling and take in the breathtaking pink hue of the sand. Continue to Komodo Island for a trek through the tropical rainforest. While searching for the dragons with your camera, you can also go bird watching, as some beautiful birds live on the island.
Next, visit Taka Makasar to see the vibrant colors of its tiny pink sand. This small island, without any vegetation, is one of the best spots for taking pictures. Then, go to Manta Point for snorkeling in open water. Afterwards, sail to Siaba Island for more snorkeling and enjoy its lovely white sandy beach. In the afternoon, head back to Labuan Bajo.
On the final day, after breakfast and checking out from the hotel, your tour guide will pick you up and drive to Melo village to see the traditional dance of the Manggarai people. The dance involves a whip fight between two strong rival men, who dance to the rhythm of traditional acoustic instruments like drums. Upon arrival at the village, you'll be greeted traditionally by the dance leader and invited to join the dancers.
Next, drive to Watu Langkas Village to observe the weaving process of the Flores people's traditional sarongs. You will see how they dye the sarongs using natural colors and even have the chance to learn how to weave. Afterward, head to the airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
