Travel to the beautiful paraish of St.Catherine to have a guided tour inside Jamaica's Oldest Sugar and Rum Producers Distillery, See different sites along the way such at the infamous flat bridge.
This tour takes you from Kingston into the rural parish of St. Catherine, offering a mix of history, local culture, and a visit to one of Jamaica’s most well-known rum estates.
After leaving the city, the scenery gradually changes to a more mountainous and green landscape. Along the way, you’ll make several stops at places that are part of Jamaica’s history and everyday life. This includes the Flat Bridge, one of the oldest functioning bridges in the Caribbean, as well as remnants of the old Jamaican railway. You’ll also visit Pumpum Rock, a well-known local landmark with its own stories and cultural significance.
There will be flexible stops during the drive, whether for fresh fruits from roadside vendors, local snacks, or a proper meal if you’d like to try authentic Jamaican cuisine at the Rio Village or Jerk centre to get authentic Jerk chicken smoked on Pimento wood!!!!!. There is also enough time planned for photos at different viewpoints along the route.
The main stop is Worthy Park Estate, located in the Lluidas Vale. After a welcome drink, you’ll get an introduction to the history of the estate and rum production in Jamaica. The visit includes a guided tasting of different spirits produced on site, giving you a good overview of local rum.
