Description

Trace 400 years of Edo at the Tokyo Museum, pray at Tokyo’s oldest temple Senso-ji, seek gold fortune at Koami Shrine, and savour a classic taiyaki. 9-guest guided walk with English-speaking guide.
Begin at the Edo-Tokyo Museum at 9:30 AM with your English-speaking guide. Step into a world of life-size reconstructions, samurai artefacts, and interactive exhibits that bring 400 years of Tokyo’s history to life. Enjoy a 60-minute guided tour covering the highlights, followed by 60 minutes of free exploration (admission included).

Next, take public transport to Asakusa. Explore Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest and most iconic Buddhist temple. Walk through the famous Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise Shopping Street, visit the main hall, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere (approx. 45 minutes free time). Use this time to grab lunch — we recommend local specialties like ten-don (tempura rice bowl) or age-manju (fried sweet buns).

Continue by public transport to Koami Shrine, a hidden gem tucked in the Nihombashi district. Known as Tokyo’s premier “gold fortune” shrine, Koami Shrine is dedicated to wealth, prosperity, and good business. Browse the selection of unique omamori (amulets) and take in the serene atmosphere (approx. 60 minutes).

As a special treat, enjoy a freshly made taiyaki — Japan’s iconic fish-shaped pastry filled with sweet red bean paste. This century-old street snack is a must-try Tokyo flavour.

Walk toward Nihombashi, passing over the historic Nihombashi bridge — the symbolic starting point of Japan’s ancient highway system. End your day at COREDO Nihombashi Terrace (approx. 4:00 PM). You can visit the Nihombashi Tourist Information Center on B1 for a complimentary small gift.

The tour concludes at Mitsukoshimae Station. You may also choose to continue exploring the Nihombashi shopping district on your own.
