Along the way, you'll learn about Shinzo Hamai, Hiroshima's first democratically elected mayor and an A bomb survivor himself. Through his story, we'll explore how Hiroshima rebuilt after the war and transformed from a former military center into an international symbol of peace.
As we walk through the area surrounding Peace Memorial Park, we'll uncover the stories, symbolism, and difficult decisions that shaped the city we see today.
