Description
We blend the history of samurai, monks, and ninjas into a dynamic story, full of legends and curiosities, accompanied by interactive activities that will make you feel part of Japan's past.
The tour starts from the SANJO-OHASHI bridge station, where we'll take a short walk along the KAMOGAWA river. You'll hear stories about how Kyoto became the capital of Japan and one of the most important cities.
Later, we'll come across the most beautiful place in Kyoto, the Geisha District (GION), where you can soak up the atmosphere of the ancient architecture known as Machi-Ya, traditional wooden houses over 150 years old, a memorable place to keep in your memories.
The next stop will be at CHION-IN SAMON, one of the most prestigious temples in Japan. There, we'll explain how the Japanese introduced Buddhism as a religion and why Christianity was a complete failure.
During the tour, we'll venture into HIGASHI-YAMA, one of Kyoto's most historic areas, where you'll be delighted by fascinating stories of ancient emperors and samurai warriors (Shoguns).
Finally, we'll see the giant Yasaka pagoda, built in the 7th century by Prince Shotoku.
Kyoto is a fascinating city that will captivate you not only with its history and temples, but also with its wide variety of cuisine. Once the tour is over, we'll give you recommendations for restaurants and activities to do.
