Discover the beauty of Nara, Fushimi Inari, and Arashiyama on a day trip from Kyoto. Interact with deer, walk through the iconic torii gates, and explore the scenic bamboo grove.
Start your day by meeting your guide at a designated location in Osaka or Kyoto. Board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus and listen to your guide's explanations of the day's highlights, historical background, and cultural points of interest.
Arrive at Nara Park, home to around 1,200 free-roaming deer, considered sacred messengers of the gods. Feed the deer with special "deer crackers" and capture memorable photos with these gentle creatures against the backdrop of the Great Buddha Hall.
Next, head to Fushimi Inari Taisha, the head shrine of all Inari shrines in Japan. Walk through the famous "Senbon Torii," a path lined with thousands of vermilion torii gates, creating a mystical atmosphere. Take in the contrast of sunlight filtering through the gates, creating a magical space that has been featured in movies and anime.
Afterward, visit Arashiyama, one of Kyoto's most scenic areas. Stroll through the Bamboo Grove, a 400-meter path lined with towering bamboo that creates a serene, Zen-like atmosphere. Visit the historic Nonomiya Shrine, known for its unique "Kuroki Torii" and its blessings for love and academic success.
