Create a postcard with Japanese calligraphy in a workshop in Nara. Learn how to rub ink sticks, grip a fude brush, and create a final piece to take home in a traditional frame.
Workshop location is along with Yasuragi street, close to Kintetsu Nara station. Let’s meet at the gallery and disband on site. Begin by learning how to rub ink sticks and grip the fude brush. Warm up by drawing circles and lines, then practice writing your chosen character 8-10 times.

Once you feel confident, create your final piece. Decorate it with a Japanese-style frame and stamp your name in Japanese. Take photos of your finished work to remember the experience. Moreover, you can view calligraphy kakejiku which the instructor writes and artworks featuring animals, landscapes and Buddha statues by her husband.
