In this 50-minute nonverbal performance, taiko drums, traditional Japanese instruments, dynamic movement, costumes, lighting, and visuals come together to create the powerful experience without spoken dialogue.

Created especially for DRUM TAO, this intimate theater brings you close to both the performers and the powerful sound and vibrations of the taiko drums. Hear each strike cut through the silence, feel the vibrations travel through your body, and witness the precision and physical energy up close.

During the show, selected audience members may be invited on stage to try playing taiko with the performers. Even from your seat, you can feel the performers' energy bringing the entire theater together.

From November, an additional -HIBIKI- show will be available on Thursdays only from 5pm.
There will also be changes to the show schedule, with doors now opening 30 minutes before each Show, and an earlier start time for the Second Show.

The theater is a one minute walk from the Hachijo Exit on the south of Kyoto Station, making it easy to visit after sightseeing or dinner. A reserved seat and one drink are included in the price.
