Description
There are noodles worldwide, but no true ramen broth. Our chefs teach you how to make real ramen broth at home. Musoshin Ramen runs six shops, and our Toronto branch has earned Michelin recognition.
We will teach you how to make a delicious ramen soup that you can easily recreate at home, right in the heart of Kyoto’s Gion district.
First, we will ask for your name. Then we will engrave it onto a pair of chopsticks using a special machine, place them in a traditional Japanese box, add color, and present them to you as a one-of-a-kind souvenir.*
Next, we will give you a Musoshin tenugui (souvenir head towel). Wrap it around your head, put on a Musoshin apron, and you will transform into a chef.
After washing your hands thoroughly, the cooking experience begins.
A professional chef will teach you how to make simple and delicious ramen broth. It takes about 40 minutes to complete the soup.
Once the broth is ready, you will cook the noodles. The noodles are fresh, homemade noodles crafted at the nearby Musoshin noodle factory.
All the ramen toppings are handmade by our chefs. They are sourced from the nearby Musoshin Gion restaurant. We offer two types of chashu:
The first is pork belly chashu that is carefully prepared over one full day in our kitchen.
The second is tender pork cartilage chashu, pressure-cooked for two hours and seasoned with our special sauce. This chashu can only be enjoyed here.
With seasoned soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and green onions added on top, your authentic bowl of ramen is complete.
We also offer options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan guests.
