Explore this magnificent historic site completely at your own pace, just like a local. If you arrive by taxi, set your destination to the Badaling Great Wall Tiandi (八达岭长城天地), then catch the free scenic shuttle bus to the boarding gates. Please note that the shuttle features two drop-off points: the northern cableway station is the first stop, while all other options lead to the final terminal. Upon arrival at the boarding gates, you can choose your walking direction. Be sure to wear light, comfortable sports shoes and bring some water and snacks for your hike.

Choose your preferred route: the Northern Section Great Wall features steep steps and grand vistas leading to the highest peak, while the Southern Section Great Wall offers a gentler slope, fewer crowds, and scenic strolls.

Visitors purchasing a cable car ticket may choose between the aerial cableway and the ground-based cable car.
You may choose either the North Line aerial cableway or the South Line ground-based cable car to ascend the Great Wall, and then select one of the two for your descent.
Cable car tickets can only be purchased after buying an admission ticket from us. Discounted (free) cable car tickets are available only for children under 1.2 meters in height (please select "Age under 5" when purchasing).
