You begin on the Berdorf plateau and loop past narrow clefts, standing rock, cliff-edge viewpoints and a cave you enter by a short iron ladder. Partway round, you stop on a rock terrace at the plateau's edge. Out comes the cooler bag: champagne, grapes, cheese, charcuterie. You sit with the forest below you for as long as you like.
Then a short drive east to Echternach and the Wolf's Gorge, saved for last on purpose. Your group is small and private throughout, so the pace stays yours.
