Folk Underground presents an evocative programme of traditional song, storytelling, and virtuoso guitar performances. Featuring acclaimed folk artists alongside established talents, these intimate evenings invite audiences to discover a rich musical heritage rarely experienced beyond village settings and community celebrations.



Experience a living and contemporary expression of Maltese folk culture, where ancient tales are brought to life through song, witty and amorous verses are exchanged with humour and charm, and powerful voices carry the spirit of a centuries-old tradition. INFORMATION IMPORTANTE
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the performance begins.
The performance lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Photography is welcome; please keep mobile phones on silent.
The performance is conducted primarily in English, with traditional Maltese songs and explanations.
The venue is located in the historic underground vaults of Sala San Duminku, Valletta.
Seating is unreserved and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The venue is easily accessible on foot from Valletta's main attractions and public transport.
The venue is accessible via stairs. If you require step-free or alternative access, please request this when booking your tickets or contact the organisers in advance so arrangements can be made.
The entrance is located right next to the Basilica of Saint Dominic & Porto Salvo, also known as St. Dominic's Church. The show is held in the vault underneath the church known as Sala San Duminku Theatre.
